Wow, it's been quite a month since the App Store launched!   Thank you, DoApp fans!!  You put our "myLite" app into the Top 10 Free Apps for more than a week and a half, and it has stayed very strong since then, too!  Our "myTo-Dos" app has also done quite well, having ranked consistently in the top 10-15 apps in the Utilities category.

We've been extremely impressed by the many great customer emails we've been getting, and the many positive reviews of our apps on the App Store. We've also been getting a tremendous amount of media and blog coverage, just some of which is linked in our pressroom. Thank you all!!

Strength in Numbers - a MILLION Thanks!
So, how many downloads did we get in the first month of the App Store's existence?  Well, after Apple recently announced to each developer what their numbers were for the first 30 days, we can tell you that total downloads for our first three apps (the ones that went onto the App Store during July) were approximately -- get this: one million!  Needless to say, we have been floored by the popularity of our apps. And we just learned today that we've now exceeded one million downloads for our myLite app alone!  Thank you all!!

Two New Apps Go Live!
On August 14th and 15th, we were delighted to see that two of our newest apps were published on the App Store. These fun, free apps are for those who like their apps simple and single purpose. Here they are:

myColorWave
Wave your iPhone or iPod Touch and watch the screen change colors -- and you can ever control how fast the screen changes happen. Fun for parties, sporting events, and just getting crazy in the dark. It lets you wave in color!  For more on this app or to download, see our myColorWave web page -- and here's how it works.

myLighter
myLighter This app is made for fun -- in clubs, rock concerts, and even at birthday parties. See the flame on your own iPhone or iPod Touch, but never get burned!  For more on this app or to download, see our myLighter web page -- and here's how it works.

DoApp Now Has Three Apps in the Top 100!
On August 15th, we were very happy to see that three of our apps had reached the Top 100 Free Apps ranking, all at the same time!  In fact, by August 16th, they ranked #35 (myLite), #67 (myColorWave), and #73 (myLighter).  We're thinking that's pretty cool, because we're not aware of any other developer that's achieved this feat so far.

Our myLite App Has Now Had Two Significant  Updates!
After numerous customer requests, the first update of our myLite app (version 1.1) added automatic saving of your current settings on exit. Also, exciting new special effects were added with this version as well: Police Car, Fire Truck, Caution Flare, Traffic Light, and Rock Concert.

Just within the past few days, a second update of myLite went live on the App Store.  This one is called Version 1.4, but it includes Versions 1.2 and 1.3, which were submitted previously, but were not published before 1.4 went live. Thus, version 1.4 incorporates all current updates.  This one adds a new feature called "Color In Motion," which lets you wave your iPhone or iPod Touch and see the screen colors change -- for the ultimate rave! (Yes, it's the same as our separate, myColorWave app. The myLighter app is also the same as as the "Rock Concert" feature in myLite. Those features were made available separately because some users prefer to have them individually.)

If you now download the myLite app now for the first time, you'll automatically get the very latest version, incorporating all updates to date. Or, if you had a  previous version of the app, you can get the latest update by tapping on the App Store icon on your iPhone or iPod Touch when you see the red ball there to indicate that an update is available. Then it's just a one-click install!

Our myTo-Dos App Also Got an Important Update
Last but certainly not least, our very popular Productivity app -- which goes by the full name  "myTo-Dos with Email Support" -- also was updated within the past week or two.    The latest updated version of myTo-Dos (now available) corrected some bugs, including a date issue for certain non-U.S. users. It also added a cool new feature requested my many users: the myTo-Dos icon on your home screen now displays how many to-do items you currently have! It's shown as a number in a little red circle.

Your Feedback Welcome!
We very much appreciate hearing from you, whether you have a suggestion for a future product feature, a question about an existing app, or a note on how you're using our products -- or just how much you like them!  We make every effort to respond quickly to all user feedback or input. Just go the "Product Help" link for any of our current products, all of which are listed on our current iPhone product page.

So many users have told us about great uses for our myLite app that we're even launching a special web site soon -- to be called "SeeTheMylite.com" -- where you can submit fun or useful ways you use this very popular app!  Watch for the launch of that site soon.

Follow Along With Us on Facebook, YouTube, and/or Twitter
There's an even better way to keep up on the latest with what we're doing here at DoApp -- in fact, there are three great ways!  Choose one or all!

• We have a Facebook company page where we and others post info and links from time to time. Please "fan" us there:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/DoApp-Inc/19621597439
• We also have a Twitter page that's updated virtually every day. Just set up your own free account at Twitter.com, then click "Follow" here: http://www.twitter.com/doapp
• In addition, we have our own channel at YouTube:  http://www.youtube.com/user/doapps

(Note: On one of the videos there, we demo our Whoopie Cushion app. It was submitted to Apple way back before the App Store launched, but, for a reason unknown to us, has not been published. As we like to say, "Apple is still sitting on our Whoopie Cushion")

You can also search "mylite iPhone" on YouTube to see about 13 videos that have been posted to date, both by us and by various users of the app.

Finally, you can keep up with the musings of the DoApp team at our blog: http://www.doapps.com/blog  All of us at DoApp thank you for your interest and support!  We look forward to staying in touch....

cheers,
The DoApp Team
